BOLIVAR, N.Y. (WIVB) - A State Police K9 Unit helped track three suspects witnesses saw leaving a pharmacy after the trio had just stolen prescription pills.
Troopers were called to Dunn's Drug Store on Main Street in Bolivar Wednesday night at 8 p.m. Witnesses called police after they saw three men enter the store through a back window and then run away with stolen merchandise.
Using a K9 Unit, troopers tracked the suspects to an address just down the road. The male resident who answered the door admitted to officers that the three suspects were inside his apartments. Troopers set up a perimeter and then took the suspects into custody without incident.
Kyle Stives, 17, Joseph Fenti, 19, and Robert Smith, 25, are each charged with second degree burglary and two counts of criminal possession of narcotics with intent to sell. Police say one of the suspects had a .380 handgun during the burglary.
The pills and other items from the burglary were recovered. All three suspects were taken to the Allegany County Jail.
