JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Jamestown Police have made an arrest in connection to two separate church burglaries on March 4th. Police say 45-year-old John Bish was charged Thursday morning, for his alleged involvement in the burglaries at the Greek Orthodox Church on Francis Street and the Bethel Lutheran Church on W. 3rd Street.
Police investigators say they identified Bish after multiple tips from citizens and other law enforcement, after the incidents had been reported
Bish has been charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny. He is being held on bail for $100,000 cash or $200,000 property.
