RANDOLPH, N.Y. (WIVB) - State Police say a 20-year-old man from Jamestown was drunk Monday night, when he was stopped for speeding on I-86 in Randolph.
Police say Lawrence J. Walsh was driving at about 9:15 p.m. Monday, when they observed his vehicle traveling at 105 miles per hour. Police stopped Walsh, who they say failed a standardized field sobriety test. According to police, Walsh then submitted a breath test of .16 percent BAC.
Walsh was arrested for DWI and Possession of Alcohol Under the Age of 21, for allegedly having a beer can inside the vehicle. Walsh is due in Town of Randolph Court later this month.
