BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A man who scattered heroin around a motel room, including on his kids , as police closed in with a search warrant has pleaded guilty.
Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita III says 22-year-old Indaleccio Rodriguez-Escalara of Buffalo faces up to 5 1/2 years in prison when he's sentenced next month for endangering the welfare of a child and drug possession. He pleaded guilty Wednesday.
Authorities say that upon seeing police in his Tonawanda motel room in October, Rodriguez-Escalara ran to the desk and scattered heroin in an apparent attempt to dispose of it. Some of it landed on his young children, who were treated and released from a hospital.
