BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - The former president and acting treasurer of a western New York youth football league has admitted stealing $13,000 from the program.
Erie County prosecutors say Thursday that 43-year-old David Mascio of Derby has pleaded guilty to grand larceny in county court in Buffalo.
The district attorney's office says Mascio was in charge of the Lakeshore Youth Football League when he wrote $5,000 worth of checks to himself over a four-month period last year. He also admits taking $8,000 from concession stand proceeds.
Mascio is scheduled to be sentenced in January. He could face up to two to four years in prison.
