WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 30-year-old West Seneca man has admitted he tried to coerce a law enforcement agent posing as a 13-year-old into having sex with him.
After talking to a law enforcement officer online that Jason Bek believed was a 13-year-old, he showed up at a location to meet the minor for sex. Authorities say when they arrested Bek in May of 2011, he had prescription pills and alcohol on him. In addition to charges of enticement and coercion of a minor, Bek admitted Monday to receiving child pornography in March of 2011 and having over 150 images of child pornography on his computer.
A week after Bek was arrested in May, his younger brother and long-term substitute teacher, 25-year-old Timothy Bek, was arrested and charged with possessing child pornography. The FBI alleges the younger Bek posed as a woman on Facebook to lure students to send him explicit pictures.
Jason Bek will be sentenced in April. He could face life behind bars, a fine of $500,000, or both. The case against Timothy Bek continues.
