CHERRY CREEK, N.Y. (WIVB) - Authorities say a southern tier man who viciously assaulted a woman in a home on Southside Avenue in Cherry Creek will spend 10 years in prison.
Kevin Pattyson, 22, of Cherry Creek attacked the woman in June 2012, entering the home while a woman was painting the interior, pushing the victim to the ground repeatedly and tackling her when she tried to flee out a side door.
While on the ground, Pattyson slammed the victim's head into the concrete several times and ripped a chunk from her hair.
Pattyson pleaded guilty to first degree burglary on Tuesday. Though he will not be sentenced until June, his plea was made in the Chautauqua County Court with the consent of the DA, the victim and her family, and was contingent on a 10 year sentence with five years of post-release supervision.
