LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Lockport man is accused of injuring a baby that was in his care. State Police say 26-year-old Kenneth S. Lathrop Jr. was arrested on Wednesday, after an investigation into the baby’s injuries.

The baby, under the age of one, was treated at Women and Children’s Hospital in Buffalo for “shaken baby syndrome.”

Lathrop Jr. was charged with felony second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in the Town of Lockport, and taken to Niagara County Jail on $5,000 bail.
