RIPLEY, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man on the southern tier was charged with DWI after deputies say he nearly caused a head-on collision.
Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies took 33-year-old Casey Swabik into custody on West Main Street in the Town of Ripley on Saturday around 9 p.m. Deputies say they saw Swabik's vehicle cross the center line and nearly hit another vehicle before pulling him over.
Deputies say Swabik was drunk and there were a number of open containers of alcohol in his vehicle. He was charged with failure to keep right, open container of alcohol, DWI, and aggravated DWI.
