LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man was taken into custody after police say he choked his wife, who then stabbed him.
Early Thursday morning, Lancaster Police were called to a home on reports of a domestic stabbing. Officers were met at the residence by Richard Brant, who officers say told them they were mistaken, that he had not been stabbed, and that his wife was currently at a neighbor's home.
Officers spoke to his wife, who told officers she had stabbed her husband as he choked her in their bedroom. Brant was arrested and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.
Brant was taken to ECMC to be treated for his wounds and then released to the custody of the Lancaster Police Department. During this incident, officers seized 27 guns from the home.
