WHEATFIELD, N.Y. (WIVB) - Niagara County Sheriff's deputies say they quickly caught up to a man who robbed his victim at gunpoint.
Shortly before midnight on Wednesday, authorities say the man was on Wheatfield-Pendelton Townline Road in Wheatfield when 30-year-old Thomas Fusco approached him, displayed what looked like a weapon, and took the man's cash. The victim was unhurt.
Deputies later caught Fusco and charged him with second degree robbery. And because they say Fusco gave a fake name when originally questioned, he's also been charged with false personation.
Fusco was taken to the Niagara County Jail on $5,000 bail.
