LeROY, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man being held in connection to a home burglary in Genesee County has now been hit with five additional charges.
Deputies say they caught 22-year-old Jeffrey Leaton of Byron burglarizing a home on Griswold Road in LeRoy on February 12. Since his arrest, Leaton has been held in the Genesee County Jail on $20,000 bail.
After further investigation, the Genesee County Sheriff's Office charged Leaton with an additional five counts of second degree burglary. Deputies say Leaton stole jewelry and cash from two other homes on Griswold Road, as well as homes on West Bergen Road, Hunter Street and Peachey Road in Bergen.
Leaton is due back in court next week.
