ARCADE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police arrested a Wyoming County man for DWI after he struck and killed a cow that was in the roadway.
Troopers say on July 7th, a minivan driven by 63-year-old Norman Kleever of Chaffee hit a cow on Rt. 39 in the Town of Arcade, killing the animal. The cow had apparently got loose from a pasture. Police arrived as the farmer and owner of the animal removed it from the roadway. Kleever was uninjured.
Troopers say Kleever failed field sobriety tests and his BAC registered .13 percent. He was charged with DWI and will appear in court at a later date.
