Man charged with DWI after hitting tree

BOSTON, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Buffalo man is charged with DWI after slamming his car into a tree in the Town of Boston.

Erie County Sheriff's deputies responded to Abbott Road Friday morning around 3:30 a.m. after Christopher Maier hit a tree in front of a residence. Authorities say the 30-year-old man was intoxicated with a BAC of .15 percent.

Maier is charged with DWI and other vehicle and traffic infractions. He is due back in court at a later date.
