NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Detectives have arrested two people for the rash of recent robberies in Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls Police arrested one man on Friday they say is responsible for five robberies in the city and a woman they say was his accomplice in three of the robberies.
22-year-old Anthony Corsaro has been charged with robbing two Wilson Farms stores on Niagara Street, one on Niagara Falls Boulevard, as well as a Dunkin Donuts and Gulf Express gas station on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Authorities say Corsaro confessed to each of the robberies and has been charged with four counts of first degree robbery and one count of first degree attempted robbery, as well as various counts of larceny and menacing.
Police say 22-year-old Ashley Blackburn aided Corsaro in two Wilson Farms robberies and the robbery of the Gulf Express station. She has been charged with two counts of first degree robbery and one count of first degree attempted robbery, as well as various counts of larceny and menacing.
Police say there is a possibility others may have been involved in the crimes. A mugshot of Corsaro is not being released until several witnesses are given the chance to look at photo arrays and identify him.
Niagara Falls Police say the man they sought earlier for two of the Wilson Farms robberies has been found and is not a suspect in the case. A witness apparently misidentified the man as the criminal.
