AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Buffalo man was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly selling drugs in the Clarence and Amherst areas.
Erie County Sheriff's deputies and Amherst Police officers charged Joseph Sciortino, 31, with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and criminal possession of more than one ounce of cocaine. Authorities say Sciortino had around 1.5 ounces of cocaine packaged for street sale on his person and over $7,000 in drug sale proceeds.
Sciortino was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.
