Man charged with sexual abuse of child

SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Springville man has been arrested on charges he sexually abused a child less than 14-years-old.
Erie County Sheriff's deputies arrested 41-year-old Timothy Prouty of Woodward Street last Thursday. On top of second degree sexual abuse, authorities have charged him with forcible touching and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17-years-old.
Deputies say the abuse occurred approximately three times over a three-year period.
