AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Amherst Police are warning elderly residents to be on the lookout for a pair of scam artists.

In two of the three incidents reported to police so far, the man was accompanied by a woman, described as white with brown hair, believed to be her 50s.
While the man roamed the home, the woman engaged the victim in conversation. In at least once incident, after the pair left, the victim discovered cash had been taken from the home.
The suspects left in a van described as grey, or tan. Police urge residents to be cautious and not let strangers into their homes.
