BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Buffalo man now awaits his punishment for attacking a prostitute.
A jury convicted 26-year-old Antoine Garner of choking a 43-year-old woman inside a vacant house on Jewett Avenue in 2011. He faces up to seven years in prison when he's sentenced next month.
Garner is no stranger to the news. His name has surfaced in the story of Amanda Wienckowski, the Lewiston woman who was found dead in a Buffalo garbage tote across from his house a few years ago. It's believed he may have been the last person to see her alive.
Her family believes her death was no accident.
