LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Niagara County grand jury will take up the case against a Lockport man accused of a horrifying attack against a little girl.
Twenty-eight-year-old David Alfonso appeared for a hearing Monday and the case will now move to county court. Police say he tried to kill his girlfriend's 7-year-old daughter on New Year's Eve.
The girl suffered serious injuries to her neck, throat, jaw, tongue and teeth.
Alfonso is charged with attempted murder, assault, and strangulation. He has pleaded not guilty to all three counts.
