BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - After a mistrial last October, a Buffalo man has been found guilty of murdering Stephen Sanders while attempting to steal marijuana from the victim.
Darryl Jones, 24, was found guilty of two counts of second degree murder, one count of first degree attempted robbery and one count of second degree criminal possession of a weapon. Jones shot Sanders in the back in December 2011 while attempting to steal marijuana from the victim inside an SUV. Two men inside the vehicle identified Jones as the shooter.
Jones is being held pending sentencing in March, when he faces a maximum of 25 years to life.
