JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 24-year-old man was arrested after Jamestown Police say he held a knife to the throat of a woman holding a 3-year-old child.
Officers were called to Newland Avenue around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday for the domestic incident. Klein allegedly got into an argument with a woman and physically restrained her while holding a knife to her throat. The victim was holding a 3-year-old child at the time and Klein demanded she throw her phone to prevent her from calling police.
By the time officers arrived, Klein had left. He was later arrested by Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies outside the city and turned over to Jamestown Police.
Klein is charged with two counts of first degree unlawful imprisonment, two counts of second degree menacing, two counts of fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth degree criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Klein is being held in the Jamestown City Jail, pending arraignment.
