BATAVIA, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they've arrested a man after he rammed a police car and led officers on chases in two western New York counties.
Police tell WHEC-TV in Rochester that the first chase started after Todd Weaver's vehicle rammed a patrol car around 5:40 a.m. Friday in Medina in Orleans County.
He was next spotted about 20 miles away in the city of Batavia in neighboring Genesee County. Police say Weaver drove through several residential streets in Batavia before he ran out of gas. Officers say they had to break the windows on his car to remove him from the vehicle.
Police say Weaver is facing weapons and drug charges in addition to a charge of fleeing police.
