Man may spend rest of life behind bars

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Buffalo man could spend the rest of his life behind bars for sexually assaulting and murdering an elderly woman.

Earl Gill Junior, 46, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, plus 15 years more for the rape of a second victim.

He pleaded guilty last month to sexually assaulting and suffocating 76-year-old Marlene Johnson inside her North Oak Street home, in February.
