WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Williamsville man is now facing federal charges after bomb making chemicals were allegedly found in his Williamsburg Square apartment house.
The U.S. Attorney's Office reports 25-year-old Duncan Badding has been charged with unlawfully making and unlawfully possessing destructive devices. According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement found many different volatile and explosive substances in Badding's home and several apparent destructive devices, or "combination of parts and devices designed or intended to be used or converted into destructive devices."
Authorities were called to Badding's home Wednesday night on reports he was firing a gun at bottles in his backyard. When they entered the home, they say they found chemicals in literally every room of his home.
At his first court appearance, Badding told the judge that he just liked experimenting and meant no harm.
Badding is being held in the Holding Center without bail.
