BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A second Buffalo man has admitted he exchanged food stamp benefits for cash at a deli on Niagara Street.
Thirty-five-year-old Karem Almadrahi pleaded guilty to food stamp fraud, admitting that at Zip's Food and Beverage he stole over $67,000 in food stamp benefits over a two-year period. Almadrahi will pay full restitution.
He will be sentenced in April and faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in jail, a fine of $250,000, or both.
