ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) - An illegal immigrant who stabbed a woman to death at the Wal-Mart in Albion reportedly pleaded guilty on Thursday.
The Daily News reports Luis Rodriguez-Flamenco, 24, pleaded guilty to second degree murder with no assurances of a lesser sentence. He could face 25 years to life behind bars when he's sentenced.
Rodriguez-Flamenco, an illegal Honduran national, stabbed 45-year-old Kathleen Byham to death as she was walking to her car the day before Halloween last year. He told police he tried to snatch her keys and then began stabbing her.
"I don't know why I did it, but I took her keys and ran across the street into the field," he said.
