JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Troopers responded to an accident involving three cars on Thursday, January 17th at the intersection of Buffalo Street in Jamestown.
One of the drivers was evaluated by crews for a non-life threatening injury.
The driver of one of the three vehicles was 32-year-old Robert Kost who was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of the accident.
While resisting arrest, he kicked one of the troopers several times who luckily did not suffer from any injuries.
After some time, troopers had to physically subdue Kost.
He was then taken to State Police barracks in Jamestown and provided a breath sample showing positive for alcohol.
He was processed and issued several traffic tickets and appearance tickets.
This is the second time in two months Kost was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
Both of his prior incidents were also accident related and resulted in the injury of an individual.
He is charged with: Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Ability Impaired by the combination of Drugs and Alcohol, Resisting Arrest and Harassment 2nd Degree.
