SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Erie County Sheriff's Office is investigating the Wednesday evening robbery of a Springville pharmacy.
Just after 5 p.m., deputies say a man entered the Spring Creek Pharmacy on West Main Street and demanded a narcotic drug from the pharmacist, claiming he had a gun. The suspect, a white male around 5'7" with a thin build and possibly blond hair, never actually displayed a weapon.
The pharmacist gave the man what he asked for and the man fled on foot from the store. He was wearing an old gray sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes, and had on a white baseball cap with a black brim. He wore a black bandanna over the lower half of his face.
Deputies were on scene within one minute after the call came into the dispatcher. However, they were unable to locate the suspect after a search of the area.
Anyone having any information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 858-2903.
