Man scams over $600,000 from victim

LEWISTON, N.Y. (WIVB) - Investigators say a Niagara Falls man who gained his victim's confidence managed to scam more than $600,000 from his victim during a six-year period.

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies arrested David Marsh on Tuesday, charging him with second degree grand larceny. Investigators explain the 53-year-old had the victim fooled into believing the victim would eventually have his money returned.

Authorities say it's possible that Marsh fooled others into believing a similar promise. Anyone who had dealings with him is encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 438-3337.

Marsh was arraigned in Town of Lewiston Court and remanded to the Niagara County Jail on $50,000 bail.
