NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - A driver who struck a Niagara Falls mother and her son is headed to prison.
A Niagara County judge sentenced 54-year-old Francis Maikranz to one-and-a-third to four years behind bars. He struck 26-year-old Nicole Rodriguez and her 7-year-old son as they crossed Hyde Park Boulevard last June.
The mother later died from her injuries.
