Man sentenced in fatal Walmart stabbing

ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) - The illegal immigrant who stabbed a woman to death in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Albion was given the maximum sentence on Monday.
Luis Rodriguez-Flamenco admitted he stabbed 45-year-old Kathleen Byham to deat h as she was walking to her car the day before Halloween in 2011. He told police he was trying to snatch her keys to steal her car when he began attacking her, and claimed he was drunk and high on drugs at the time.
An Orleans County judge sentenced Rodriguez-Flamenco to 25 years to life behind bars.
