BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Homicide detectives were called to West Avenue in Buffalo after a man was shot Wednesday night.
Jeremiah Cooper, 20, of Lackawanna, was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle after being struck by gunfire around 8 p.m. at West and Massachusetts Avenues. Police described his injuries as serious and was declared dead at Women's and Children's Hospital.
The shooting happened just a block from the home that was rebuilt by ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" in November of 2009.
