BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man has pleaded guilty to stabbing his acquaintance in the throat while they both waited for food handouts at a food truck for the homeless.
On Friday, 68-year-old Haywood Barleston pleaded guilty to first degree attempted assault. Prosecutors say Barleston stabbed 58-year-old Melvin Moore in the throat with a knife while in line for food at Ellicott and Clinton on September 28.
When he's sentenced in December, Barleston faces 3-and-a-half to 15 years in prison.
