Man stabs 18-year-old woman

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An 18-year-old woman was stabbed just before 3a.m. Sunday morning in Buffalo.

The incident happened in the 400 block of Doat Street near Genesee Street after a dispute broke out between a man and woman.

At some point, 20-year-old Gary Heard of Buffalo stabbed the 18-year-old woman and took off by foot.

Heard was apprehended, arrested and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

The woman was taken to ECMC where she was treated and released.
