AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police have busted the man they say has been stealing hundreds of dollars worth of lighters from Amherst convenience stores.
At the end of September, Amherst Police say 43-year-old Vaughn Burdett of Buffalo stole around $100 worth of lighters from a gas station on Main Street. Police say at the beginning of the month, Burdett struck again, stealing around $300 worth of lighters at a gas station in Eggerstville.
Burdett has been charged with larceny. Authorities say he is being held in the Erie County Holding Center on charges unrelated to the lighter thefts.
