BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Prosecutors say a Toronto man is facing charges after he allegedly tried bringing an underage prostitute into the United States over the Peace Bridge.
Twenty-year-old D'Shawn Rose was coming into the states when he was stopped at the border. Agents determined Rose had driven an underage girl from Toronto, Ontario and was heading to Buffalo to catch a flight to Las Vegas, where the minor was supposed to engage in prostitution. Rose was indicted Wednesday on charges of transporting an individual to engage in prostitution, inducing an individual to travel to engage in prostitution, and transporting a minor to engage in prostitution.
If convicted, Rose will face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and could be sent to prison for life.
