HARMONY, N.Y (WIVB) - Early Saturday morning just after 3 a.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff's arrested and charged a man on several accounts.
After they saw the vehicle strike a deer, sheriff's continued to follow the car until they pulled into a driveway off of Panama-Bear Lake Rd. to see if they driver suffered from any injuries.
Although no injuries were found, deputies did find that the operator, Jeffery E. Hagey of Ohio was intoxicated.
Hagey was taken into custody without incident and processed.
Before being released, he was issued traffic tickets and charged with DWI, DWI with BAC .08% or Higher, and Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.
Hagey is due to appear in the Town of Harmony Court on a later date.
