ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WIVB) - A New Jersey man is on probation after admitting he sent e-mails to the CEO and President of Wegmans, threatening to kill the executives.
Hans Ni pleaded guilty on Wednesday to sending threatening interstate e-mails. The U.S. Attorney's Office says in July of 2011, Ni, a former Wegmans employee, sent the e-mails from a public library in New Jersey to the CEO and president of Wegmans in Rochester, impersonating a manager of a Wegmans in New Jersey.
Ni threatened to murder the executives and called them both "race traitors." When he was sentenced to five years probation Wednesday, Ni stated he never intended to harm the CEO or president, but rather was attempting to get his former supervisor in trouble.
