Man throws sword in domestic dispute

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - (RELEASE) Officers responded to Prendergast Ave. in regards to a domestic dispute involving Roger W. Lampman and his wife.

A physical dispute had occurred and Lampman had broken items in the house after assaulting his wife.

Lampman threw a small sword at the front door, smashing the full length tempered glass front.

The Lampman's four children, ranging from age six to eighteen were in the house during the incident.

Officers did search for the subject, but he had fled before their arrival.

But a couple hours later Lampman returned to the residence and changed his clothes, as he knew Police were searching for him.

He slapped his wife before leaving a second time.

Officers were able to locate him as he was fleeing.

Lampman was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and assault.

He was later charged with three additional counts of endangering the welfare of a child for the filthy living conditions of the residence.
