BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A former Buffalo man will spend three years and five months behind bars for mail fraud and tax evasion.
Bernard Lane, who now lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced Wednesday. Prosecutors say between April 2003 and November 2006, the 50-year-old worked as Director of IT at Williams Advanced Materials in Buffalo, which is now under the Materion brand.
During that time, he bought 251 laptops and had the business pay for them. He then sold the laptops for $175,000 and kept the money for himself.
