CLEVELAND, OH. (WIVB) - Buffalo Police now confirm a man wanted for a murder in connection with a fatal stabbing last Friday was arrested over the weekend in Cleveland.
Twenty-three-year-old Michael Ballard, Jr. was stabbed multiple times on Woodlawn Avenue. A friend drove him to Sisters of Charity Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police investigated and learned the suspected killer was on a bus heading to Ohio. Officers contacted Cleveland Police, who checked their Greyhound bus station and found the wanted man. WOIO reports 25-year-old Anthony Williams was arrested around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday on a bus bound for Las Vegas.
He is now awaiting extradition and expected to be returned to Buffalo sometime on Friday.
