BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man wanted by police will be brought back to Buffalo next week from Tennessee to face arraignment on second degree murder charges.
Buffalo Police have been looking for 34-year-old Wyatt "Chicago" Hayes after developing information he is the suspected shooter in the July murder of 26-year-old Darryl McDavis. Hayes was believed to have fled the area and was recently found by authorities in Tennessee during a traffic stop where he allegedly lied about his identity.
Authorities say detectives traveled south to speak to Hayes, who made admissions about the murder. Hayes has waived extradition proceedings and police are working with the District Attorney's office to arrange for his return.
