BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man who helped a drug kingpin in Buffalo will spend the next 21 months behind bars.
David North, Sr., 43, of Buffalo was sentenced Wednesday for his role in the drug distribution activities of Derek Frank. Frank paid North to drive a truck with marijuana stashed inside from Phoenix, AZ to Buffalo.
Frank admitted a conspiracy of moving marijuana and money around WNY. The investigation brought down TSA employee Minetta Walker, U.S. Airways employee Tinisha Tucker-Anthony, City of Buffalo employee Regina McCullen and Miguel Guzman, who were convicted for their roles.
After his release, North will have three years of supervised release.
