FREDONIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Two men were arrested on Friday for allegedly breaking into cars on Eagle Street in the Village of Fredonia.
An officer observed several open car doors of vehicles parked in driveways on the street. A short time later, a homeowner informed officers someone had entered his home and stole a cell phone.
Two males were spotted in the area and took off on foot when officers attempted to speak with them.
After a short foot chase, 21-year-old Angelo Montante of Hamburg and 22-year-old Jake Pollinger of Eden were arrested. They were found carrying stolen property on them.
Both suspects are charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree.
Montante has an additional charge of Burglary in the 3rd Degree.
Police are asking to be contacted (716-679-1531) in regards to this incident should you believe you have property missing from your vehicle on December 7th through December 8th.
They are also reminding everyone to keep their vehicles and residences locked at all times.
