TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police are investigating an early-morning stabbing on Sunday that left one person dead.

At 4:30 a.m., police showed up to the scene of the incident at 26 Blackmore Street in the Town of Tonawanda.

Police say 22-year-old Edmund Serwinowski stabbed his 34-year-old girlfriend to death. Jennifer Sacarieis had only been dating Serwinowski for about a month.

Police say the two got into a verbal argument and Serwinowski reacted by stabbing his girlfriend in her own home. He has been charged with second-degree murder.
