SALAMANCA, N.Y. (WIVB) - He committed a horrifying crime and Monday we'll find our whether Edward Kindt will go free.
Kindt was just 15 years old when he raped and murdered Penny Brown back in 1999. She was killed on Mother's Day while jogging with her dogs in Salamanca.
As a result of her death, New York passed "Penny's Law" which calls for stiffer sentences for juveniles convicted of second-degree murder.
Monday, a parole hearing is scheduled for her killer.
