Parolee charged in double murder

GENEVA, N.Y. - Geneva Police arrested John Edward Brown, 35, Friday night, for the stabbing deaths of 35 year old Helen Buchel and her 12 year old daughter Brittany Passalacqua.

WROC TV in Rochester reports that neighbors said Buchel's 14 year old son found the two dead in their apartment on North Main Street in Geneva. Police didn't confirm that.

Police characterize the incident as a domestic dispute and that Brown and Buchel were boyfriend and girlfriend.

Brown is a parolee. In 2003 is was arrested for assault against an infant.
