BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Just blocks from ECMC, Buffalo's latest murder victim was gunned down on an east side street.

Emotions ran raw and a woman screamed out her pain, as the neighborhood witnessed another young man's murder. Neighbors identified the victim as a 28-year-old Buffalo father. As the array of more than a dozen spent shells indicated, he was killed in a hail of gunfire next to an SUV.

A close relative told News 4 off-camera, the victim was with riding in the Chevy Blazer with two other people who were working against him.

"And they had it out for him. In other words, he came over here, and got set up," the relative siad.

The family member asked us not to use her name or show her face, for fear of retaliation. But she did tell News 4 the family has now lost three loved ones to street violence and they want it to stop. She had just seen her nephew earlier in the day, looking for a job downtown, and he was going to be married.

"All of us, all of our sisters, nephews, his sister - everybody. We are just tore up about this, his fiancee, everything," she said.

Witnesses also told News 4 that detectives have one, possibly two persons of interest they are questioning. So far, police are withholding the name of the shooting victim until all his immediate family members are notified.
