WESTON MILLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Neighbors on the southern tier called 911 when they say they heard a woman screaming for help.
Deputies responded to Chestnut Street in Westons Mills around 11 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office says Joe Brockel had gone to his former girlfriend's residence and got into a fight with her, tearing her shirt and pants and shoving her before fleeing the scene.
Brockel's ex had an order of protection against him. Deputies placed the 33-year-old under arrest for second degree harassment, fourth degree criminal mischief, and first degree criminal contempt for violating the order of protection.
He was arraigned and taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $1,000 bail.
